The Biblical Forensics site is dedicated to looking at the bible in five different ways:
  • Historically – what we can and cannot show about the contents of the bible as if we were looking at it as a historian.
  • Original Context – what was the original author trying to say.
  • Evolution of the Bible – what has happened to the bible over the years.
  • Evolution of Theologies – how did theologies become what we see today.
  • Critical Analysis – using critical analysis in light of the above technics we can draw some very interesting conclusions that have a very solid basis.

  • Critical analysis is what really ties everything together. No matter what religious group you belong to, you hope that the people you witness to will be “open minded.” We always feel that we are “open minded” but until you are willing to critically examine your beliefs, you are NOT “open minded.” To do this you must be willing to look at your beliefs in light of critical analysis. This goes completely against human nature so it is very difficult for us to do when it comes to our beliefs because we may find out that we are wrong (yes, that deserves a few ouch’s).

For me, this journey started several years ago when I started asking myself “what was Christianity like in the beginning?” From the early church, how did we get to where we are? Is where we have come correct? Are our teachings sound or are they man made? The answers to these questions, and many more, have made me look at my beliefs in a completely different way.

It is my hope that Biblical Forensics will take you on a fascinating journey. A journey that will challenge the way you think about Christianity. A journey that will cause you to re-examine your beliefs in the light of truth. Then, when you have reached the end of this part of your journey, you will be a much stronger and more enlightened Christian. This trip will be both fascinating and scary but I re-assure you, when you come through it, your faith will be much stronger!
